Regarding digital tax update, Indonesia back again to pointing 12 Digital Companies that meet the criteria as value added tax collectors on digital goods and services sold to customers in Indonesia. Previously, the tax policy for digital economy players would be carried out in stages by considering the potential and situation of domestic and international taxation.
With this appointment, starting October 1, 2020, these companies will start to collect VAT on the products and services they sell in Indonesia.
The amount of VAT that must be paid by the customer is 10% of the price before tax, and must be stated on the receipt or invoice issued by the seller as a VAT credit
In his official statement, Tuesday 9 September 2020, the Director General of Indonesian Taxes said that they again appointed 12 companies to collect VAT on goods and services sold in Indonesia. These twelve companies will be effective on October 1, 2020
The following are the companies designated by tax in batch three:
Total 28 Players Now
With the appointment of these 12 new companies, the number of business actors tasked with collecting taxes on their consumers has become 28 companies. Where in the first wave of taxes appointed 6 companies and the second wave 10 companies as tax collector
The following 10 companies were appointed as VAT collectors in the second batch:
